Licensed Veterinary Technician

Lake Stevens Animal Hospital - Lake Stevens, WA

Lake Stevens Animal Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (40 hours per week). Preferred 2 years experience, but will make an exception for the right applicant.

We are a small, one doctor practice that has been serving the greater Lake Stevens community for fifteen years. We pride ourselves on providing high-quality veterinary care to our clients/patients, as well as well trained/educated employees that understand the value of a "family" style practice and will support not only our clients/patients, but also his/her fellow co-workers. We are currently wanting to increase our hours and be open on the weekends. We are looking for a technician that is willing to work both Saturdays & Sundays. Basic Licensed Veterinary Technician Description:

Prepping of rooms (temps, weights, patient history, etc.), administering medications (IV, SQ, oral, etc.), intubation, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, dental cleanings, blood draws, IV catheter placement, analysis of UA's, analysis of cytology's (skin, ear, fecal, etc.), medical terminology and ability to speak efficiently and with confidence to clients, reporting lab results to clients, filling of prescriptions, TNT, restraint, assist the Veterinarian and/or other co-workers wherever needed, occasional reception work, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Licensed by the State of Washington
  • Has worked 2+ years as a Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Ability to: understand & follow through with written & oral instructions, work both independently & as a team player, multi-task, be out-going & personable, work hard & stay on task, be loyal & respectful.
  • Willing to: be extremely flexible with work hours and work any position within the hospital when needed.
